WHAT WE DO

Our one-to-one Parent/carer and child programme supports children aged 3 to 8 years of age.

Who is our programme for?

  • Parent/Carers who would like to enhance their parent and child relationship.
  • Parent/Carers struggling to manage challenging behaviour.
  • Children who have a diagnosis of ADHD or are awaiting a diagnosis.
  • Children with complex needs.
  • Families who have gone through change such as, fostering, military families or family breakdown.

What does the programme consist of?

  • In-depth assessment exploring the parent/carer and child’s lived experiences to identify individual needs and goals.
  • Phase 1 of programme is designed to enhance the parent/child relationship, build the child’s self-esteem, develop focus and ability to recognise and manage their emotional states.
  • Regularly monitoring and assessing progress at every stage of the program,

We work at the parent/carers own pace: only after phase 1 of the programme has been mastered do we move onto phase 2.

  • Phase 2 of the programme is designed to continue to build on parent/child relationship, support parent and child to work with clear instructions, and boundaries.
  • Each session consists of collaboratively working with parent/carers through one-to-one coaching, skills practice, and prescribed tools to support parents to further develop new skills at home, and track progress.
